- If the stylus cannot write and draw on your ipad, but you can swipe and tap the screen, check the following settings:
Go to Settings > Apple Pencil > Turn off Only Draw with Apple Pencil.
Or Settings > Notes > Click on the brush ＞click on the three dots＞to open “painting with your finger”. (Other apps may also be unavailable due to settings, so you can check first.)—The picture below is an example of the settings:
- If any of the above settings cannot be used, please try the following:
It may be that the pen tip is too tight/too loose. You can try twisting the pen tip and screwing it back again. Make sure the stylus has power.

*****If the stylus does not respond, open the “Settings” screen → select “Accessibility” → turn on touch adjustment via “Touch adjustment”.
